United Way of Clinton County, Iowa has been working to create a more equitable community for nearly 84 years by improving individual lives and bringing long-lasting systemic change to our local community. We recognize structural racism and other forms of oppression have contributed to persistent disparities which United Way of Clinton County seeks to dismantle. As an organization, we seek to engage the entire community, especially those whose voices have traditionally been marginalized. In our fight for equity, we work with residents and public and private partners to co-create solutions that ensure everyone has the resources, support, opportunities, and networks they need to thrive. We will utilize these partnerships, assets, and investments to advocate for those whose voices have been silenced for too long as we strive towards a more equitable Clinton County.
As an organization, we will work internally to educate our staff and board members on key elements to promote equity in our community. As we build our understanding of core issues, and build a supportive workplace for our staff that mirrors an inclusive culture we can fight for equity in Clinton County and we can Live United.
